Manufacturing Process

1. Choose the appropriate wood and wood shape.

2. Confirm the wood and color you want.

3. Handle the materials. The wood is cleaned first, and then the board is cut into the desired shape and size with a saw according to the design plan. And the edge of the board is trimmed smoothly with a plane. As the cleaning process removes impurities, the wood may be slightly different from what it was when it was first identified. After natural wood is cut, its edge is generally blackened to enhance the effect. If there are no special requirements, it is operated in accordance with the original design.

4. Brush paint or apply resin. The purpose is to fix bacteria and dust and reduce air bubbles.

5. Trim and shape the wood to the required dimensions.

6. Prepare the resin in the color specified by the customer. The small bubbles in the resin are extracted with a vacuum machine, and the time is controlled in 30 to 60 minutes.

7. Pour the resin. When large bubbles are seen floating up, they are heated directly with a blowtorch for a short time. After defoaming reaches the standard, the resin is baked over a fire. Baking the resin while it is still drying can reduce small air bubbles, and this process should be repeated for each layer poured. Apply 3 to 5 layers of resin depending on the thickness; more layers are needed for wavy patterns. The curing time for a single layer is about 2 days, and the curing time for the last layer is slightly longer.

8. Remove the cured piece from the mold.

9. For the later trimming and sanding, first use a grinder to sand the surface of the tabletop until it is smooth. Then, use fine sandpaper to sand the edges and corners. After that, you can apply paint or wood wax oil according to your needs.

10. Apply paint to prevent scratches. Specifically, apply the paint in five to six successive coats. Before each paint application, re-sand the surface, and concurrently address any existing holes during this sanding operation. Use a thinner to clean (the color), and then apply paint again. For the first coat, it is better to use a brush for better penetration. Adjust as needed.

11. Inspect and add resin where it is deeded. Then, polish and grind the protruding parts.

12. Using a spray gun spray paint. The painting operation should be carried out in a dust-free workshop to reduce dust adhesion.

13. Take pictures and conduct inspections. If everything is okay, start the packaging process.
